Mastering Your Deployment: MT4/MT5 Installation

Deployment Overview

Proper terminal configuration is critical to ensure accurate algorithmic order execution, zero latency interference, and absolute safety with your broker server feed. Complete all steps below sequentially.

01. Terminal Preparation & DLL Import Permissions

Launch your MetaTrader (MT4 or MT5) trading terminal. Navigate to the top menu and select Tools > Options > Expert Advisors. Within this panel, ensure that both “Allow Automated Trading” and “Allow DLL imports” are securely checked.

Enabling DLL imports is mandatory for advanced institutional software to interface securely with external data sockets and live pricing feeds. Finally, verify that your server connection status in the bottom-right corner displays a stable green/blue ping status.

02. Installing GoldPulse Pro Files to Root Directory

Access your terminal directory by clicking File > Open Data Folder. Navigate into the MQL4/Experts directory (or MQL5/Experts if operating on MetaTrader 5). Copy and paste your compiled GoldPulse_Pro.ex4 (or .ex5) application file directly into this folder.

To register the file within your workspace, restart your MetaTrader platform entirely, or open your left-hand Navigator window, right-click inside the Expert Advisors tree, and select Refresh.

03. Chart Setup & Timeframe Configuration

Open a clean, uncrowded chart window for XAUUSD (Spot Gold). GoldPulse Pro is natively calibrated to execute on lower intra-day structures, specifically optimized across the M1, M5, or M15 timeframes depending on your selected risk portfolio file.

Ensure complete historical tick synchronization by pressing the Home key on your keyboard while viewing the chart window, or scroll backward to ensure deep price action data loads correctly for algorithmic calculation.

04. Input Parameters & Prop Firm Risk Calibration

Drag and drop GoldPulse Pro from your Navigator window onto your active XAUUSD chart. A properties dialog will prompt you; navigate directly to the Inputs tab to define your target lot sizes, compounding options, and strict risk parameters.

If you are deploying the algorithm on proprietary evaluation accounts (such as FTMO, FundedNext, or comparable institutional firms), make certain that your daily loss thresholds and profit targets match your specific account parameters precisely.

05. Activating Live Algorithmic Execution

Click OK to save your customized configuration. Look at the top-right corner of your chart window: a successful configuration will display a happy smiley face icon next to the GoldPulse Pro name. If a sad face appears, recheck your DLL and AutoTrading options.

Finally, ensure the master AutoTrading button on your MetaTrader top toolbar is toggled ON and glowing green. Your institutional gold engine is now officially live and guarding your market positions.
